?How much does it cost to hire a DJ?

Call for an exact quote, the rate usually depends on several factors. Our rates are very competitive and are consistent with the going rates of most professional DJ services in our area. We can give you a quick quote over the phone.(832-725-3938) ASK FOR DJ E-XTREME "PERSONALLY"!!!

-What type of music do you play?

We have a wide variety of music selections. Unlike many DJ's, we don't just specialize in 1 or 2 types of music genre. We have in-depth knowledge of many types of music such as: R&B, Top-40, Hip-Hop/Rap (Clean versions), Country, Oldies, Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Reggae, Dance Hall, Zydeco, New Orleans Bounce, Jazz, Blues, 60's, 70's, 80', 90's, Motown, Rock, Classic Rock, and Alternative.

How much experience do you have as a DJ?

DJ E-xtreme have been providing music entertainment, since the late 90's. DJ E-xtreme has experience in many different music genre, and have played for all types of audiences. Because we have been in the game so long, we have a wealth of music selections. We provide the fine tuned skills necessary to deliver perfect performances.

What kind of equipment do you have?

We have invested thousands of dollars in the best state of the art sound system around. We can provide sound for large and small events and everything in between. We have everything from Vinyl to CD's to mp3's on laptop. We always carry backup equipment in case of a malfunction or component failure.

How far will you travel?

We service the greater Houston and surrounding areas, but have on many occasions accepted opportunities to DJ outside of the Houston area.(travel milage is a factor in pricing)

Does DJ E-xtreme have a backup system in case of equipment failure?

DJ E-xtreme Entertainment uses computer-based music systems. If one system ever goes down , we always have a backup ready to go. We carry two or three full sound systems with us in case of an emergency. You can be assured that we are ready in the rare case of a problem.

Who will control the volume at my event?

You will. We don't want to hurt anyone's hearing or offend anyone. Simply tell us if the volume is either too loud or too soft and we will immediately adjust our sound system. For sound during meals, we keep the volume to a level that enables everyone to be able to carry on a conversation without raising their voices. Once the dancing begins, the volume is raised to a level appropriate for your event location.

Will DJ E-xtreme show up early to set up for my event?

We always arrive at least one and one-half hour early for every event. In many cases, we arrive even earlier to make sure everything is ready to go on time. Once at your event location, we coordinate with photographers, videographers, caterers and event supervisors to make sure your event runs smoothly.

May we see DJ E-xtreme at work before we hire them?

It depends. We NEVER invite prospective clients to private events or wedding receptions (do you really want people you didn't invite to show up at your event?). However, if we are at a public function (school dance, festivals, etc), you are perfectly welcome to come and see us. Please let us know so that we can tell you when and where we will be! Please be aware that the majority of our work is taken up by wedding receptions - so there is a good chance that there won't be any public events that will fit within your hiring schedule. For references - see the next question!

Does DJ E-xtreme Entertainment require a retainer fee and a signed contract?

Yes. We require non-refundable retainer fee of at least 25% on all events. We will send you a contract and expect you to return it with your signature and retainer fee within 2 weeks. Your date is not officially secure until your retainer fee and contract is in our hands. However, we will not book another event on your day while your contract is outstanding. If we do not receive your retainer fee and contract by your due date listed on your contract, we reserve the right to rebook the date without notice.

Is my retainer fee refundable?
No. Your retainer fee is non-refundable to protect us from lost bookings due to us scheduling your event.

Will DJ E-xtreme schedule more than one event on the same day?

No - unless the events are far enough apart to provide for plenty of time to set-up and tear-down. On a regular basis we provide music for events during the day that have a firm, stated ending time. We will schedule an evening event on the same day, as long as we know for sure that we have plenty of time between both events. We will inform you of this prior to booking EITHER event and allow you the right of first refusal (unless the event during the day was already scheduled).

When is the balance due?
Before or On the day of your event - NO EXCEPTIONS!

Does DJ E-xtreme Services charge an overtime fee?

It depends on the type of event and our original quoted price. In general, overtime fees apply after the agreed hrs of performance stated on the contract are exceeded. If there is an overtime fee, it will be clearly spelled out on your contract what it is and when it applies.( we will reasonably work with our client's if an extra 30min. is needed, (we take pride in our work and customer satisfaction)

When do I get the worksheets for my event?

All of our clients can log on to our event worksheets through www.djextreme.org homepage with your password to submit all of the information you have to help us make your event a success once we receive your signed contract and retainer.

Will you meet with me prior to my event?

That decision is up to you! If you would like to meet us, we are always available to meet with you. After you receive your worksheets and tips, you may decide you want a personal meeting. Most of our customers have discovered that our worksheets are more than capable of handling most, if not all questions regarding an event. Again, the decision is up to you! We would love to meet with you if that is what you desire.
